GO Contact Sync - for Outlook and Google

I have just released the first beta of GO Contact Sync tool (G stands for Google and O stands for Outlook ;) - this was previously announced as Google Contact Sync.

So, the features are:

Synchronizes your contacts between Microsoft Outlook and Google Mail.
Supports contact categories and contact photos.
Multiple sync options to suite your needs.
Automatic sync (on an interval)
Accessible via system tray

Here's what the settings window looks like:

This beta will expire on 31st of December 2008. This doesn't mean that there won't be any updates until then :)

Hi,

There is already an app from Google which I have been using...And it works well. Google Contact Sync. I have downloaded this program, but I won't be using it or evaluating it right away. I am a kind of very busy with this life of mine, but surely, someday, I will give you my feedback. You dont have to wait for very long though.

Google Contact Sync only syncs from Google to your phone. It will not sync from Outlook to Google. Thats what we need.

Right now I have 3,000 contacts and when I run Go Contacts Sync it just hangs and does nothing. I keep getting the request for Go Contacts Sync to access Outlook and and I let it run for 10 minutes. But then i have to do it over and over and after one hour still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I have 2500+ contacts and I have the problem with Go Contacts Sync (Google/Outlook) just sitting there and hanging. It makes the permissions request with Outlook, to which I reply with Allow for 10 minutes. But it just sits there and apparently does nothing while all controls are disabled.
